My clients and I have found good Return on Investment from Facebook. It may be because we have spent longer time on the Zuckerburg Juggernaut. The occasional use of “promoted posts” with modest sums of spend ($5.00-$10.00) have added to traffic and likes from responsive audiences.
Two pages doing very well are Buckaroo Leather Products and Working Horse Magazine. They are both involved in the narrow Niche of Western Horsemanship, Tack and Breeding.
BUT lately Working Horse Magazine has set up a page on Google+ and is finding a very engaging audience.
There are so many features available through the Google Plus Platform, not found on Facebook. Guy Kawasaki summed it up well in his guide book, What the Plus.
The chart below demonstrates just some differences. Kawasaki was impressed with the Public Posted option and not having the “Edge Rank” found on Facebook.
We at You Can Build It have also set up a Private Google+ Community, focusing on conversation, sharing ideas and ASKING questions about Building YOUR Business.
This is not a place to advertise has been or promote a business. The Community is by invite only and if anyone would like to be a contributing member, please request in the comment section below and we will send you an invitation.
There are several topics that conversations can be initiated on this Google+ Plus Community.
Another area that Google+ offers the serious business builder is the Google hangout section where Live video presentations can be made. These conferences can be immediately posted to YouTube, thus affording even greater exposure to potential markets of your niche.
We believe that 2014 will see continued growth of Google+ and we and many clients intend to increase participation on our own business pages and relevant Google+ Communities. Most of our Facebook business pages will continue to be active, since Facebook has proved to be very rewarding to several of our businesses, mentioned above.
